At the beginning of 2024, educational classes and two exhibitions were prepared for Poles living in Budapest and Hungarians interested in history. On the evening of 15 February 2024, the director of the IPN Branch in Cracow, Filip Musiał Ph.D., opened an exhibition entitled "The Home Army" (in a bilingual, Polish and Hungarian version) at the Polish Institute in Budapest. Among the participants of the official opening was Sebastian Kęciek, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Budapest. The guests were welcomed by Dominika Teske, Director of the Polish Institute.

The meeting at the "History Point" in Budapest was enriched by a discussion entitled "Independence will be your reward.... The Home Army - the Underground Polish Army" with the participation of Wojciech Frazik Ph.D.,from the Cracow branch of the IPN and Tomasz Domański Ph.D., from the IPN sub-branch in Kielce. The discussion was moderated by Hungarian historian Ferenc Semsei.

At the same time, IPN educators conducted the first "Poland Is Not Yet Lost" workshop for the students of the Sándor Petőfi Polish School by the Polish Embassy in Budapest. In the next few days they will also visit the Polish Supplementary School and Kindergarten in Hungary. The opening of the IPN exhibition "Polish Underground State" at the Polish House in Budapest, as well as a lecture entitled "The Home Army and “Operation Tempest" will take place on Sunday, 18 February.

The Institute’s educators handed out publications and educational materials, as well as promotional packets donated by the Cracow City Hall.
IPN “History Points” abroad are more than just meeting places. They are points on the map of the world where Poles can meet and feel a common history, values and a bond with their homeland. Our educators, researchers and archivists present the latest findings and the most important activities of the IPN during workshops, lectures, classes and meetings. Our “History Points” are currently operating, among others, in Vilnius, Brussels, London, Chicago, New York and Dublin, among others
