It all began in Poland 1939-1989, ‘Volumen’ Publishing House, Warsaw 2009, 240 pages

Richly illustrated album ‘It started in Poland 1939-1989’ includes articles by: Paweł Wieczorkiewicz (Introduction and Between two enemies), Jan Żaryna (Polish Communism), Łukasz Kaminski (Polish months), Antoni Dudek (Carnival), Henryk Głębocki (A war with the nation), Jarosław Szarek (The world in the face of the martial law), Antoni Dudek (Conclusion). The album shows synthetically the Polish military effort in World War II, the post-war heroic battle with the Soviet and home terror machine and the rebellions of 1968, 1970 and1976. It also depicts the ‘Solidarity’ movement and the Polish contribution to the final victory over communism.

Album was issued in cooperation with the Institute of National Remembrance by the ‘Volumen’ Publishing House, The Council for Protection of Memory of Struggle and Martyrdom and the ‘Generation’ Association,  It was published on the 70. anniversary of the outbreak of World War II and the 20. anniversary of Poland's independence.
