Problems that ensued in the result of the occupation of the Gdańsk Pomerania by the Soviet army were typical for the whole Poland in the post-Yalta period. All interventions concerning the economic exploitation of Poland that were directed by territorial and central Polish administration to the Soviet and military authorities were disregarded. The aim of the publication is to attempt to answer a vital question: to what extent did the presence of the Red Army and Soviet secret services influence the socio-political, economic and ethnic situation of the Gdańsk Pomerania. The publication has been issued in the "Monographs and Elaborations" series.
