Exhibitions
The Institute of National Remembrance has organised almost 200 exhibitions. They have been displayed both in Poland and abroad. The thematic scope of the exhibitions is very diversified, with extensive and often unique photographic documentation and archival materials presented. Many of them have been prepared with the support from regional museums, veterans' organisations, schools, universities and local authorities.
The exhibits are usually mounted on light and simple structures, which facilitates their transport and installation. This enables presenting them also is small towns, schools, community centres and regional museums. Recently the Institute has also organised outdoor exhibitions, which greatly expanded the audience. Displays are complemented by museum lessons for the youth, conducted by the Institute's staff, and by professional development proposals addressed to teachers.
In recent years, the following exhibitions have won great acclaim 'Invasion 1968' (delivered in four language versions), 'The expelled' (delivered in English), 'Solidarity Fighting' (trillingual version), 'Martial Law Victims', 'Extermination of the Polish Elites. Action AB - Katyń', 'People's Poland - So Far, So Near...'.
