IPN delegation visited Kiev at the invitation of directors of the I.F. Kuras Institute of Political and Nationalities Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The delegation composed of dr. Jerzy Bednarek (deputy chief of IPN’s Branch Archives in Łódź) and Marcin Majewski (Head of Archive’s Section for Division for Archival Research and Source Edition). The meeting was organized by Professor. Yuri Szapował - the member of the Polish-Ukrainian working group preparing IPN's series of publications  "Poland and Ukraine in the thirties - forties of the twentieth century. Unknown documents from the archives of the special services ".

On 27 January 2012 the IPN’s employees took part in the ceremonial meeting at the headquarters of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which took place on the occasion of the jubilee of 20 years of the Institute of Political and Nationalities Studies. During the meeting a public presentation of the “Political Encyclopedia” (Kiev 2011) took place, published by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. During the meeting dr Jerzy Bednarek, the co-author of entries appearing in the “Encyclopedia”, presented a report on the Polish-Ukrainian archival cooperation.
