Investigation concerning mass murders of Polish population in the years 1941-1943 committed by the officials of the German occupation authorities in Wołkowysk and the area - wersja graficzna tekstu

As a result of the extensive investigation it has been established that mass murders of Polish population were committed in the territories under the supervision of the police authorities in Wołkowysk in the years 1941-1944. In particular cases, as was the case with the Szulicze village in July 1943, all inhabitants were murdered (more than 350 people), including women and children, and their property was pillaged and burnt down.
Also the cases of murdering victims of Belorussian and Jewish nationalities were examined, including 80 people in the Borysiki village. The witnesses’ testimonies point to the fact that German perpetrators selected their victims who were later shot down on the basis of their Polish nationality and intelligentsia background. These testimonies concern in particular crimes committed in Wołkowysk and Świsłocz. At the present stage of the investigation, detailed information concerning 15 cases of mass murders was established. October 3rd, 2002
