The Institute's Public Education Office coorganises or organises anniversary celebrations regarding crucial events of the Polish history.
Up to date the following events have been organized:
30th anniversary of the establishment of the Workers’ Defence Committee (September 23-24, 2006)
30th anniversary of the establishment of the Movement for Defence of Human and Civic Rights (March23, 2007)
30th anniversary of the establishment of the Students’ Solidarity Committees (May 7-20, 2007, Cracow)
30th anniversary of the establishment of the Free Trade Unions (September 8, 2008, Gdańsk)
25th anniversary of the establishment of 'Fighting Solidarity' (June 14-17, 2007, Warsaw-Wrocław)
20th anniversary of the 1988 strikes (September 2, 2008, Szczecin)
65th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising
20th anniversary of the beggining of the Round Table sessions
25th anniversary of the Martial Law
Further meetings of this kind are being planned, connected with the anniversaries of the 1939 and 1989 events.
