The research-educational programme consists of several projects concerning particular nations.

1. Poles and Ukrainians

The project, carried out mainly by the Branch Public Offices in Lublin and Rzesz󷬠examines the Polish-Ukrainian relations in the years 1939-1989. The main event within the project in 2002 was a conference organized in April and devoted to the action "Wisωa", and especially to the policy of the former authorities towards the Ukrainian minority.

2. Poles and Lithuanians

The research concentrates on the fates of the two nations under the influence of the Nazi and Communist totalitarianisms. In 2002 a common Polish-Lithuanian conference on the Civil resistance against the totalitarianism in the Vilnius region in the years 1939-1945 was held which focused on broadly-understood totalitarian repressions and civil resistance of Poles and Lithuanians. The other area of focus is the communist security apparatus in Poland and Lithuania.

3. Poles and Germans

This project is particularly interesting to the Pozna񠡮d Wrocωaw branch offices. The project encompasses the problems of the German aggression, repressions of Hitler, and the shift of the Polish borders to the West, including its demographic consequences.

4. Communist authorities - Belarussians - Underground

The project is focused on the minority relations (Poles, Jews, Belarussians, Lithuanians) in the Polish North-Eastern territories, and especially on the Polish-Belarussian relations.

5. Fate of Jewish people in the People's Republic of Poland

The issue of Jewish people's fate in the People's Republic of Poland constitutes an interesting and yet controversial research topic. The matter requires also a proper and objective educational approach.

6. Gypsies in Poland

Research on this rare topic has been assumed by Agnieszka Rogulska from the Branch Public Education Office in Poznan
