Testimonies from Martial Law contains 28 most interesting accounts chosen from a number of relations depicting various forms of oppositional activities in different regions in Poland.
The accounts contain a number of precious and previously unknown information on the oppositional activity and social resistance after the imposition of the Martial Law.
They also depict the attitudes and motivations of persons engaged in oppositional activities following the introduction of the Martial Law.
Testimonies from Martial Law may constitute an interesting reading piece not only for historians but also sociologists and social psychologists. Most importantly however, they allow those who lived through the times to confront their own experience with the experience of the others.
