June 1956 in Poznań

The next volume in the series of Post-Conference Materials is devoted to the events of 1956 in Poznań. The authors of the book analyse issues that have been omitted so far, such as the situation in the penitentiary system, reactions of the Polish society to the events in Poznań as well as the commentaries of the Polish and foreign press. The conclusion reached by the authors corresponds with the thesis that June 1956 in Poznań marked the beginning of the democratisation process in Poland.
