Publishing Announcements

In 2003 a new extensive monograph on the events of 1981-1983 will appear. It will constitute an attempt to look at the Martial Law from a new perspective. For the first time, a team comprising several historians who have conducted a broad research and managed to get hold of unpublished elaborations as well as testimonies of the witnesses was created. As a result, a publication comprising the description of the Martial Law in particular regions of Poland will appear. The contents:

• Introduction by Antoni Dudek;
• Martial Law in the Gdańsk Pomerania and Kujawy by Sławomir Cenckiewicz;
• Martial Law in Mazowsze, Warmia and Mazury by Tadeusz Ruzikowski;
• Martial Law in Upper Silesia, Podbeskidzie and Częstochowa region by Jarosław Neja;
• Martial Law in Lower Silesia and Opole Silesia by Łukasz Kamiński.
