Military Underground in the Lublin Region vis-a-vis Two Totalitarianisms 1939-1956
The series on Post-Conference Materials consists of publications which have come into being as a result of seminars and conferences organised by the Institute of National Remembrance. Typically, the conference materials concern the activities of occupants during WWII and the Communist
period of the existence of Polish People's Republic or describe various forms of civil
resistance.
The first volume is devoted to the fates of conspirators in the Lublin area. The authors analyse the methods of work and chances of success of the armed underground in the years 1939-1956 as well as a way of its combating by the occupant and Communist authorities. They support the thesis that the anti-Communist conspiracy was a continuation of the anti-Nazi
conspiracy. The goal of both was to regain an independent and democratic Poland.
