International Conference „Solidarity for the Future”
This year we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the memorable August 1980, when „Solidarność” movement at Gdańsk Shipyard stirred the process of regaining freedom in Poland and Europe. The IPN Branch Office in Gdansk wished to emphasize the historic role of Solidarność, whose actions led to throwing off the yoke of communism and to collapsing of the Soviet bloc.
The conference will take place on 29th and 30th of August 2005 in Gdansk-Oliwa, at the Gdansk University (Law Department). It is co-organized by Gdańsk Branch Office of IPN, Gdańsk Town Hall and Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
