Information on the visit of Mr. Ferdinando Imposimato in the IPN

On March 8th, 2006 an Italian judge Ferdinando Imposimato visited the IPN headquarters. He met the IPN prosecutor, Mr. Michaω Skwara, in order to be interrogated upon his private investigation regarding the plot against Pope John Paul II. Due to Italian law regulations Mr. Imposimato said, that he was not authorized to give evidence as a witness. In such circumstances the prosecutor interviewed Mr. Imposimato and comprehensive notes were taken.
Mr. Ferdinando Imposimato provided the IPN prosecutor with documents, i.e. three stenographs of speeches, his and of judge Ilario Martelli, delivered in front of the Italian parliamentary commission and the opinion ordered by the Mytrokhin commission.
After the interview with the prosecutor and a quick press conference Mr. Imposimato met Mr. President Janusz Kurtyka in his office. The sides confirmed their wish to tighten cooperation in the field of investigation on the plot against Pope John Paul II and exchanged their views on this topic.
The meeting ended with an invitation of Mr. Imposimato for Mr. Kurtyka to visit Italy.
