New educational website www.rok1989.pl

On June 3, 2009 the IPN has launched a new educational website www.rok1989.pl. You can find there the calendar of events of 1989 in Poland and in the other former Soviet-bloc countries. The website also features a short synthetic history, a selection of documents, accounts of the witnesses, a photo gallery, video fragments, etc. The aim of the site is to present the Polish role in the events of 1989, compared to the other countries in the region.
