On October 10, 2000 a Branch Commission for the Prosecution of Crimes against the Polish Nation in Warsaw started an investigation that aims to disclose all possible circumstances that contributed to the unlawful imprisonment of the Primate Stefan Wyszyński. The arrest of the Polish Primate was based on a single act of the national authorities and executed by the functionaries of the Ministry of Public Safety.
