On October 10, 2000 a Branch Commission for the Prosecution of Crimes against the Polish Nation in Warsaw started an investigation that aims to disclose all possible circumstances that contributed to the unlawful imprisonment of the Primate Stefan Wyszyński. The arrest of the Polish Primate was based on a single act of the national authorities and executed by the functionaries of the Ministry of Public Safety. Presently, the investigating procedures are being continued in the case (particularly, the archived materials relating to the circumstances of the event are collected ).The documents such as:

• a fragment of the decision to re-open the investigation of the imprisonment of Primate Wyszyński;
• a fragment of the protocol from the meeting of the Secretariat of the Political Office of September 23, 1953;
• a resolution of the Praesidium of the Government of the People's Republic of Poland of September 24, 1953;
