The President of the Institute meets with the representatives of the American Holocaust Museum

On March 31, 2009 Janusz Kurtyka, the President of the Institute of National Remembrance hosted the representatives of the American Holocaust Museum - dr. Radu Ioanid, the director of the International Archival Program Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies, Alina Skibińska and Craig Conway, the first secretary for political affairs in the U.S. Embassy.

The meeting concerned the most important IPN projects regarding Jewish subjects, in particular the ‘Life for life’ campaign and the ‘Polish and Jewish resistance movement’ conference. Also the cooperation between the institutions in the archival field was discussed, as well as the timetable for implementation of the INDEX system. The meeting ended with a joint declaration made by Janusz Kurtyka and Radu Ioanid on a friendly and fruitful future cooperation aimed at describing the history of Poles and Jews. The President of the Institute has also been invited to Washington by dr. Ioanid.
